There have been 18 head coaches in Celtics' history. [[Red Auerbach]] is the most successful franchise's head coach having won 9 NBA championships with the team. Celtics' legend [[Bill Russell]] took coaching duties from Auerbach and led them to 2 NBA championships while playing and coaching at the same time. The other two coaches that won 2 NBA titles with the team are [[Tom Heinsohn]] and [[K. C. Jones]].
