===Former communities=== *[[Vanport Township, Pennsylvania|Borough Township]], established in 1804 from the small southeast corner of South Beaver Township. It originally held the portion of the county South of the Ohio River. Over the next century, parts of the Township were split into Center, Potter, and Racoon Townships.
