:I believe it would have occured during the Great Flag Debate, during Pearsons PM, and John Diefenbaker as the oppostion leader.
("Diefenbaker and his traditionalist lieutenants mounted a filibuster.")

:From what I remember my parents said, both Canadian citizens, Diefenbaker carried on for days himself, and they took turns for months. My Great Great Grand Uncle, was an MP during McKenzie King era, told stroies to my grandfather about long debates, but nothing close to what went on during the great flag debate.
