Minden has a municipal archive and two significant museums. The Prussia Museum ({{lang|de|Preußenmuseum Minden}}) is one of two museums of Prussian history in North Rhine-Westphalia. The [[Minden Museum Railway]] operates with old Prussian rolling stock on the Minden District Railway tracks.
