===LDS departure===
In 2018, [[the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints]]{{emdash}}the largest charter organization supporting BSA{{emdash}}cut ties with the BSA, substantially contributing to a net loss of nearly a million scouts and leaders. The decision was made partly in response to BSA membership policy changes, such as allowing girls, openly gay, and transgender people to participate in the organization.
