===Representation and political tendencies=== Since the modification of the electoral map of Quebec in 2011, three constituencies are entirely located inside the region of Bas-Saint-Laurent: [[Matane-MatapĂ©dia]], [[Rimouski (provincial electoral district)|Rimouski]] et [[RiviĂšre-du-LoupâTĂ©miscouata]]. The voters of the western part of the region are part of the constituency of [[CĂŽte-du-Sud]], shared between the regions of Bas-Saint-Laurent and [[ChaudiĂšre-Appalaches]].
