Neighborhood Health Services Corporation (NHSC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community health center serving the greater Plainfield and [[Elizabeth, New Jersey|Elizabeth]] communities. NHSC has been designated a [[Federally Qualified Health Center]] (FQHC) by the [[United States Department of Health and Human Services|U.S. Department of Health & Human Service's]] Bureau of Primary Health. At the height of popularity in the 1950s through the 1970s, Plainfield was a hub for medical practices.
