The Fairbanks Police Department is the primary [[law enforcement agency]] responsible for the city. Recently the police department has had trouble keeping their employees. In 2021 the ''[[Fairbanks Daily News-Miner]]'' reported that "The Fairbanks Police Department hired 45 officers in the past five years and lost 50 in the same time frame."
