Edmonton is a major air transportation gateway to northern Alberta and northern Canada.<ref name="edmontoncanencyclo"/> The [[Edmonton International Airport]] (YEG) is the main airport serving the city.

The airport provides passenger service to destinations in the United States, Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The airport is located within Leduc County, adjacent to the City of Leduc and the Nisku Industrial Business Park.
