===Public transportation=== [[Image:College Park Station 91121.jpg|thumb|left|267px|College Park has a station on [[Washington Metro]]'s [[Green Line (Washington Metro)|Green Line]].]] [[College Park–University of Maryland Station]] on the [[Washington Metro]]'s [[Green Line (Washington Metro)|Green Line]] is in College Park; a large commuter parking garage was completed in 2004 adjacent to the Metro station. [[MARC Train|MARC]] trains run on [[CSX Transportation|CSX]] tracks adjacent to the Green Line and stop at a small station next to the College Park Metro station. The Metro station lies at what had been the historic junction of Calvert Road and the CSX tracks. Five [[Purple Line (Maryland)|Purple Line]] light rail stations will serve College Park when the system opens in 2027: [[Adelphi Road–UMGC–UMD station|Adelphi Road]], [[Campus Drive–UMD station|Campus Drive]], [[Baltimore Avenue–UMD station|Baltimore Avenue]], [[College Park–University of Maryland station|College Park Metro]] and [[Riverdale Park North–UMD station|Riverdale Park North]].
