===Foreign assistance===

[[United States government]] assistance is the mainstay of the economy. The [[United States Army]] maintains the [[Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site]] on [[Kwajalein]] Atoll. Marshallese landowners receive rent for the base.
