French composer [[Guillaume Dufay]] stayed in Rimini, at Malatesta's court until 1427. In 1518 [[Pietro Aaron]] became the first choirmaster of the Cathedral's chapel. In recent years, the city inspired the homonymous music album by [[Fabrizio De André]], released in 1978, and it is cited in various popular Italian and foreign songs by [[Fabrizio De André]], [[Francesco Guccini]], [[Nino Rota]], [[Elvis Costello]], [[Fred Buscaglione]].
