===Transport===
Vlieland can be reached by ferry from the Frisian town of [[Harlingen, Netherlands|Harlingen]] on the mainland. There is a very [[Vlieland Heliport|small heliport]] near the village, but it is only used for [[Search and rescue|SAR]] flights.
