As of 2022, there are two operational [[Rail transport|railway]] lines in the country, both of which connect Nepal with India: the [[Raxaul]]–[[Sirsiya]] and the [[Jaynagar railway station|Jainagar]]–[[Janakpur, Nepal|Janakpur]].
