== History == Sun City West was constructed on an {{convert|11000|acre|adj=on}} site to the west of [[Sun City, Arizona|Sun City]], including part of the former [[Lizard Acres, Arizona|Lizard Acres]] cattle ranch.<ref name="march141983">{{cite web|url=https://www.newspapers.com/image/121665279/|date=March 14, 1983|title=Cattleman J. Charles Wetzler dies at 75; aided CAP, ASU in public service career|publisher=Arizona Republic}}</ref> The community was constructed by the [[Del E. Webb Construction Company]], overseen by [[R. H. Johnson|R.H. Johnson]].
