Steilacoom is situated on [[Puget Sound]] between the [[Nisqually River]] delta and the [[Tacoma Narrows]]. It sits across from [[Anderson Island (Washington)|Anderson]] and [[Ketron Island|Ketron]] islands to the west and [[McNeil Island]] to the northwest.
