===2010 census===

The [[2010 United States census]] counted 2,779 people, 1,057 households, and 755 families in the borough. The [[population density]] was {{convert|4179.4|/sqmi}}. There were 1,112 housing units at an average density of {{convert|1672.3|/sqmi}}. The racial makeup was 93.41% (2,596) [[White (U.S. census)|White]], 3.31% (92) [[Black (U.S. census)|Black or African American]], 0.11% (3) [[Native American (U.S. census)|Native American]], 0.76% (21) [[Asian (U.S. census)|Asian]], 0.07% (2) [[Pacific Islander (U.S. census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.47% (13) from [[Race and ethnicity in the United States census#Race|other races]], and 1.87% (52) from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. census)|Hispanic or Latino]] of any race were 2.02% (56) of the population.<ref name=Census2010/>

Of the 1,057 households, 29.6% had children under the age of 18; 56.6% were married couples living together; 11.2% had a female householder with no husband present and 28.6% were non-families. Of all households, 23.8% were made up of individuals and 9.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 3.00.<ref name=Census2010/>

21.4% of the population were under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 23.0% from 25 to 44, 31.0% from 45 to 64, and 17.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44.2 years. For every 100 females, the population had 91.5 males. For every 100 females ages 18 and older there were 87.7 males.<ref name=Census2010/>

Another 25.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. In the borough the population was spread out, with 21.8% under the age of 18, 4.3% from 18 to 24, 29.8% from 25 to 44, 24.8% from 45 to 64, and 19.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females, there were 90.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.8 males.<ref name=Census2000/><ref name=Census2000SF1/>

The median income for a household in the borough was $58,977, and the median income for a family was $68,125. Males had a median income of $50,950 versus $36,042 for females.
