==Geography==
Renovo is located in north-central [[Clinton County, Pennsylvania|Clinton County]] at {{coord|41|19|43|N|77|44|54|W|type:city}} (41.327669, -77.749580),<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> along the [[West Branch Susquehanna River]], at the bottom of a {{convert|1000|to|1200|ft|m|adj=mid|-deep}} gorge. [[South Renovo, Pennsylvania|South Renovo]] is directly across the river, on the south bank. The vicinity of the town is one of the least densely populated areas in the eastern U.S. and was featured as such in the book ''The Last Empty Places'' (2010), by [[Peter Stark]].

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], Renovo has a total area of {{convert|2.93|km2|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|2.92|sqkm|order=flip}} is land and {{convert|0.01|sqkm|order=flip|3}}, or 0.48%, is water.<ref name="Census 2010"/>

[[Pennsylvania Route 120]] passes through the borough, leading southeast (downriver) {{convert|28|mi}} to [[Lock Haven, Pennsylvania|Lock Haven]], the [[county seat]], and west then northwest up [[Sinnemahoning Creek]] and its tributaries {{convert|45|mi}} to [[Emporium, Pennsylvania|Emporium]]. [[Pennsylvania Route 144]] crosses the West Branch from Renovo into South Renovo and leads southwest {{convert|35|mi}} to [[Snow Shoe, Pennsylvania|Snow Shoe]] and [[Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania|Interstate 80]]. PA 144 leads north {{convert|44|mi}} to [[Galeton, Pennsylvania|Galeton]] on [[U.S. Route 6 in Pennsylvania|U.S. Route 6]].
