As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 10,090 people, 2,732 households, and 2,341 families residing in the CDP. The population density was {{convert|1,373.3|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 2,906 housing units at an average density of {{convert|395.5|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The average household size was 3.63 and the average family size was 3.85.

In 2000, in the CDP, the population was spread out, with 36.1% under the age of 18, 10.2% from 18 to 24, 30.0% from 25 to 44, 17.7% from 45 to 64, and 6.0% who were 65 years of age or older.
