The racial makeup of Oakdale was 74.5% White, 0.8% African American, 1.2% Native American, 2.5% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 13% from two or more races, and 31.2% Hispanic or Latino. There were 8,167 households from 2017 to 2021 with an average household size of 2.79 people per household. The age distribution was 8.3% under the age of 5, 27.9% under the age of 18, 8% from 18 to 24, 26.8% from 25 to 44, 24.5% from 45 to 64 and 12.8% over the age of 65. The racial makeup of Oakdale was 16,558 (80.1%) White, 163 (0.8%) African American, 210 (1.0%) Native American, 463 (2.2%) Asian, 37 (0.2%) Pacific Islander, 2,386 (11.5%) from other races, and 858 (4.1%) from two or more races.
