==Geography==
New Haven is in eastern Macomb County, {{convert|10|mi|0}} northeast of [[Mount Clemens, Michigan|Mount Clemens]], the [[county seat]], and {{convert|26|mi}} southwest of [[Port Huron, Michigan|Port Huron]]. Highway [[M-19 (Michigan highway)|M-19]] passes through the east side of the village, leading south {{convert|1.5|mi}} to Exit 247 on [[Interstate 94]] and northeast {{convert|7|mi|0}} to [[Richmond, Michigan|Richmond]].

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the village of New Haven has a total area of {{convert|2.53|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, of which {{convert|0.001|sqmi|3}}, or 0.04%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2022"/> The [[Salt River (Michigan)|Salt River]] passes through the east side of the village, flowing south to [[Lake St. Clair]] at [[Point Lakeview, Michigan|Point Lakeview]].
