Russert signed off each edition by saying, "That's all for today. We'll be back next week. If it's Sunday, it's ''Meet the Press''." Spoofs of the show featured in a recurring sketch on ''[[Saturday Night Live]]'' often reflected his impromptu additions in support of the two professional sports franchises.
