==Geography==
According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the city has a total area of {{convert|6.18|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, of which, {{convert|6.00|sqmi|sqkm|2}} is land and {{convert|0.18|sqmi|sqkm|2}} is water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2023"/> The main bodies of water in the city limits are Lake Wilderness, [[Lake Lucerne (Washington)|Lake Lucerne]], Rock Creek, and part of [[Pipe Lake]]. The [[Cedar River (Washington)|Cedar River]] passes through unincorporated King County very near the northeastern border of the city. The city is bordered by [[Hobart, Washington|Hobart]], [[Fairwood, King County, Washington|Fairwood]], and [[Ravensdale, Washington|Ravensdale]], two unincorporated [[King County, Washington|King County]] census-designated places, along with the cities of [[Covington, Washington|Covington]], [[Renton, Washington|Renton]], [[Kent, Washington|Kent]], and [[Black Diamond, Washington|Black Diamond]].
