Leatherhead is a town in central [[Surrey]], around {{convert|17|mi|km|abbr=on|sigfig=2}} south of the centre of London. It lies on the southern edge of the [[London Basin]] and the highest point in the parish, at Leatherhead Downs, is {{convert|135|m|ft|abbr=on|sigfig=3}} above [[ordnance datum]].
