The [[population density]] was {{convert|881.3|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 183 housing units at an average density of {{convert|571.9|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the city was 34.4% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 65.2% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], and 0.4% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]]. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.7% of the population.

There were 122 households, of which 32.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 28.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 25.4% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.6% had a male householder with no wife present, and 39.3% were non-families. 36.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The racial makeup of the city was 72.85% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 24.50% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.44% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.22% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.99% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.22% of the population.

There were 203 households, out of which 27.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 25.6% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 29.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 40.4% were non-families. 38.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 19.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
