The Kangchenjunga landscape is a complex of three distinct [[ecoregion]]s: the [[Eastern Himalayan broadleaf forests|eastern Himalayan broad-leaved]] and [[Eastern Himalayan subalpine conifer forests|coniferous forests]], the [[Eastern Himalayan alpine shrub and meadows]] and the [[Terai-Duar savanna and grasslands]].<ref>{{cite book |editor=Wikramanayake, E.
