Of those accepted, 384 enrolled, a yield rate (the percentage of accepted students who choose to attend the university) of 14.9%. Kalamazoo's freshman retention rate is 83%, with 79% going on to graduate within six years.<ref name="cds20-21" />

Together with [[Michigan State University]], [[Michigan Technological University]], [[Wayne State University]], [[Hillsdale College]], [[Calvin University]], and [[Hope College]], Kalamazoo College is one of the seven college-sponsors of the National Merit Scholarship Program in the state. The college sponsored 2 Merit Scholarship awards in 2020.
