They had two children, daughter Tandy Cronyn, an actress who co-starred with her mother in the TV film ''The Story Lady'', and son Christopher Cronyn. Tandy became a [[naturalised]] citizen of the US in 1952. In 1990, Tandy was diagnosed with [[ovarian cancer]], and she also suffered from [[Angina pectoris|angina]] and [[glaucoma]]. Despite her illnesses and advancing age she continued working.
