For every 100 females, there were 99.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.7 males. The median household income was $30,074 and the median family income was $34,046. Males had a median income of $26,000 versus $19,162 for females. The per capita income for the city was $13,023. About 12.9% of families and 15.5% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 21.8% of those under age 18 and 12.3% of those age 65 or over.
