In March 2007 Bruichladdich Distillery announced the reopening of the distillery at [[Port Charlotte (distillery)|Port Charlotte]] (''Port Sgioba'' in Gaelic), which was closed in 1929, and was also known as the [[Lochindaal distillery]].
