One CIA officer was heard telling their new prisoner that "You know where you are going. Before you get there, I am going to find your mother and fuck her".<ref name="risen"/> In the second week of January 2002, al-Libi was flown to the [[USS Bataan (LHD-5)|USS ''Bataan'']] in the northern [[Arabian Sea]], a ship being used to hold eight other notable prisoners, including [[John Walker Lindh]].<ref>{{cite news |date=January 8, 2002 |title=Top al Qaeda leader held aboard U.S. warship |url=http://edition.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/asiapcf/central/01/08/ret.afghan.prisoners/index.html |website=[[CNN]] |access-date=May 13, 2009}}</ref> He was subsequently transferred to Egyptian interrogators.<ref name="risen"/>
