Former mayor [[Phillipe Courard]] (MAYEUR), who was mayor between 1995 and 2012, was beaten at the [[Belgian local elections, 2012|2012 Belgian local elections]] after being mayor for seventeen years. He was replaced by [[Jacques Chaplier]] of the Entente Communale (E.C.).
