===2010 census===
The [[2010 United States census]] counted 20,334 people, 7,140 households, and 5,526 families in the township. The [[population density]] was 3,659.4 per square mile (1,412.9/km<sup>2</sup>). There were 7,417 housing units at an average density of 1,334.8 per square mile (515.4/km<sup>2</sup>). The racial makeup was 91.93% (18,694) [[White (U.S. census)|White]], 1.48% (301) [[Black (U.S. census)|Black or African American]], 0.07% (15) [[Native American (U.S. census)|Native American]], 3.40% (691) [[Asian (U.S. census)|Asian]], 0.01% (3) [[Pacific Islander (U.S. census)|Pacific Islander]], 1.58% (322) from [[Race and ethnicity in the United States census#Race|other races]], and 1.51% (308) from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. census)|Hispanic or Latino]] of any race were 7.87% (1,601) of the population.<ref name=Census2010/>

Of the 7,140 households, 33.4% had children under the age of 18; 63.0% were married couples living together; 10.3% had a female householder with no husband present and 22.6% were non-families. Of all households, 19.3% were made up of individuals and 10.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.82 and the average family size was 3.26.<ref name=Census2010/>

22.7% of the population were under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 23.9% from 25 to 44, 31.0% from 45 to 64, and 14.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42.3 years. For every 100 females, the population had 92.4 males. For every 100 females ages 18 and older there were 89.3 males.<ref name=Census2010/>

The Census Bureau's 2006–2010 [[American Community Survey]] showed that (in 2010 [[inflation adjustment|inflation-adjusted]] dollars) [[median household income]] was $89,415 (with a margin of error of +/− $5,891) and the median family income was $102,743 (+/− $5,511). Males had a median income of $71,710 (+/− $5,920) versus $53,371 (+/− $2,532) for females. The [[per capita income]] for the township was $33,051 (+/− $1,340). As of the [[2000 United States census]]<ref name="GR2" /> there were 21,378 people, 7,244 households, and 5,802 families residing in the township. The population density was {{convert|3,802.3|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 7,406 housing units at an average density of {{convert|1,317.2|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the township was 93.17% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.10% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.06% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 3.39% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 1.13% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.15% from two or more races. There were 7,244 households, out of which 37.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.2% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 9.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.9% were non-families. 17.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.92 and the average family size was 3.32.<ref name=Census2000/><ref name=Census2000SF1/>

In the township the population was spread out, with 25.5% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 29.2% from 25 to 44, 25.0% from 45 to 64, and 13.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females, there were 91.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.1 males.<ref name=Census2000/><ref name=Census2000SF1/>

The median income for a household in the township was $65,697, and the median income for a family was $71,361. Males had a median income of $51,776 versus $32,439 for females.
