===Environment===
The [[United States Environmental Protection Agency]] has identified Garfield as the site of groundwater contaminated [[hexavalent chromium]] from a spill in 1983 at the [[Garfield Groundwater Contamination Superfund site|E.C. Electroplating Corporation site]].
