== Direct Connect used for DDoS attacks == As the protocol allows hubs to redirect users to other [[Ethernet hub|hubs]], malicious hubs have redirected users to places other than real Direct Connect hubs, effectively causing a [[DDoS|Distributed Denial of Service]] attack.
