According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the borough had a total area of 0.28 square miles (0.73&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>), including 0.25 square miles (0.65&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>) of land and 0.03 square miles (0.08&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>) of water (11.43%).<ref name=CensusArea/><ref name=GR1 />

The borough borders the [[Atlantic Ocean]] to the east, [[Deal Lake]] to the west, and is in close proximity to [[New York City]]. [[Deal Lake]] covers {{convert|158|acres}}, overseen by the Deal Lake Commission, established in 1974.
