====Theatre and dance====
Wellington is home to [[BATS Theatre]], [[Circa Theatre]], the national kaupapa Māori theatre company [[Taki Rua]], the National Theatre for Children at Capital E, the [[Royal New Zealand Ballet]], Gryphon Theatre, and contemporary dance company [[Footnote Dance|Footnote]].

[[Te Whaea]] National Dance & Drama Centre, houses New Zealand's university-level schools, [[Toi Whakaari]]: New Zealand Drama School & the [[New Zealand School of Dance]], these are separate entities that share the building's facilities.

[[Whitireia New Zealand|Te Auaha the Whitireia Performing Arts Centre]] is downtown off Cuba Street.
