As of March 2011, there were a total of 15,719 registered voters in Rahway, of whom 7,159 (45.5% vs. 41.8% countywide) were registered as [[Democratic Party (United States)|Democrats]], 1,675 (10.7% vs. 15.3%) were registered as [[Republican Party (United States)|Republicans]] and 6,880 (43.8% vs. 42.9%) were registered as [[Unaffiliated (New Jersey)|Unaffiliated]].
