The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs men's basketball program started in the 1909–10 season under Head Coach [[Percy S. Prince]]. The basketball team has won 25 regular season conference titles and 6 conference tournament championships. In addition, the Dunkin' Dawgs have earned 6 NCAA tournament and 9 NIT appearances. Three Bulldogs have had their numbers retired by Louisiana Tech. These are Lady Techster Head Coach [[Leon Barmore]] (#12), [[Karl Malone]] (#32), and collegiate All-American player [[Jackie Moreland]] (#42). Other notable former Bulldog players include [[Mike Green (basketball, born 1951)|Mike Green]], [[Paul Millsap]], [[Scotty Robertson]], [[P. J. Brown]], and [[Tim Floyd]].

The Bulldogs are led by head coach [[Talvin Hester]] and play their home games on Karl Malone Court at the [[Thomas Assembly Center]].
