From 1947 until 1994, Lehigh County was served exclusively by the [[Area codes 215, 267, and 445|215]] [[Telephone numbering plan|area code]]. With the county's growing population, [[Area codes 610, 484, and 835|area code 610]] was also allocated to the county in 1994. Today, Lehigh County is covered largely by the 610 area code.
