There is an intermittent cycle lane between Stratford, Ilford, Romford and [[Harold Wood]] along the [[A118 road|A118]]. The lane is part of the former [[London Cycle Network]], as signposted route number 12.

At Stratford, [[Cycle Superhighway|Cycle Superhighway 2]] begins and runs through [[Mile End]] and [[Whitechapel]] to the City. Cycleway 16 passes to the north of Ilford, providing a direct cycle connection between the [[Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park]] at Stratford and [[Barkingside]].

The Roding Valley Way is a shared-use route running alongside the [[River Roding]].
