In this new timeline, Wonder Woman is the [[demigod]]dess daughter of Queen Hippolyta and Zeus. Her original origin is revealed as a cover story to explain Diana's birth as a means to protect her from Hera's wrath. A stand-alone #0 issue was released in September which explored Diana's childhood and her tutelage under Ares, the God of War, now known most often as simply 'War'.<ref name="Azzarello2">{{Cite comic| writer = Azzarello, Brian| artist = Chiang, Cliff| story = The Lair of the Minotaur!| title =Wonder Woman| volume =4| issue =#0| date = November 2012}}</ref> The main plot of the issue was Diana training under War as he thought of her being an extraordinary girl with immense potential.
