== Broadcasting ==

Many broadcast station transmitters are located at the top of the Willis Tower. Each list is ranked by [[HAAT|height]] from the top down. Stations at the same height on the same mast indicate the use of a [[diplexer]] into the same shared [[antenna (radio)|antenna]]. Due to its extreme height, FM stations (all [[List of North American broadcast station classes|class B]]) are very limited in power output.

[[NOAA Weather Radio]] station [[KWO39]] transmits off the tower at 162.550&nbsp;MHz. Programmed by the [[National Weather Service]] Weather Forecast Office in Chicago, it is equipped with [[Specific Area Message Encoding]] (SAME), which sets off a siren on specially programmed [[weather radio]]s to alert of an impending hazard.
