===International cooperations=== Heidelberg is a founding member of the [[League of European Research Universities]], the [[Coimbra Group]], and the [[European University Association]]. The university forms part of the German-Japanese University Consortium HeKKSaGOn, and it participates in 7 European exchange schemes for researchers and students, such as [[ERASMUS programme|ERASMUS]]. In total, the Higher Education Compass of the German Rector's Conference lists staff and student exchange agreements as well as research cooperations with 236 universities worldwide.
