It was the largest student [[occupation (protest)|occupation]] in [[Canadian history]], and resulted (in 1969 currency) in $2 million of property damage.<ref>{{Cite book|title=The Empire Within: Postcolonial Thought and Political Activitsm in 1960s Montreal|last=Mills|first=Sean|publisher=McGill-Queen's University Press|year=2010}}</ref> Among those arrested and convicted were [[Roosevelt Douglas]], who later became [[Prime Minister of Dominica]], and who was a son of one of the richest men in [[Dominica]].
