Tritium is used in various electron tubes, such as the [[Zellweger off-peak|Zellweger ZE22/3 glow tube]]. These devices contain a small amount of tritium to ionize the fill gas, typically a noble gas like [[neon]] or [[argon]]. This ionization ensures reliable and consistent operation by providing a steady current when a high voltage is applied, enhancing the device's performance and stability.
