In the [[Legislative Assembly of British Columbia]], Richmond was historically a stronghold of the [[BC United|BC United Party]] until the [[2020 British Columbia general election|2020 provincial election]] where the [[British Columbia New Democratic Party|BC NDP]] flipped three of Richmond's four [[electoral district]]s ([[Richmond South Centre]], [[Richmond-Queensborough]], and [[Richmond-Steveston]]).
