A '''radionavigation land station''' is – according to ''article 1.88'' of the [[International Telecommunication Union|International Telecommunication Union´s]] (ITU) [[ITU Radio Regulations]] (RR)<ref>ITU Radio Regulations, Section IV. Radio Stations and Systems – Article 1.88, definition: ''radionavigation land station''</ref> – defined as "A [[radio station]] in the radionavigation service not intended to be used while in motion."

Each ''radio station'' shall be classified by the ''[[radiocommunication service]]'' in which it operates permanently or temporarily. This station operates in a [[Safety service|safety-of-life service]] and must be protected for [[Interference (communication)|Interferences]].{{fact|date=July 2022}}
