Built by 1963 and later home to [[British Home Stores|BHS]], the building closed in 2016 with the collapse of BHS retail stores and was scheduled for demolition due to [[asbestos]] content. The building was listed as [[Grade II]] after lobbying by local pressure group Hull Heritage Action Group, potentially preventing demolition of the mural-wall.
