By October 2014, [[Greg Berlanti]] was developing a drama series for [[Fox (network)|Fox]] titled ''[[Riverdale (American TV series)|Riverdale]]'' with Berlanti and [[Sarah Schechter (producer)|Sarah Schechter]] as executive producers through [[Berlanti Productions]], and [[Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa]] writing the series.
